Nonprofit IT Is Measured in Mission Delivered

IT for nonprofits means protecting donor trust and program delivery on program-scale budgets: donor CRM platforms working, grant records producible on demand, PII handled to the standard funders now audit, and every eligible dollar of Microsoft, Google, and Adobe nonprofit discount captured. Wizcom builds around that reality first, then adds the office IT layer around it.

We support foundations, faith-based organizations, community nonprofits, and human-services agencies across Michigan. We know the donor CRM platforms, the grant reporting infrastructure, and the specific realities of running IT on program budgets.

Whether you're a five-staff community foundation or a hundred-employee human-services agency, the underlying job is the same: IT that stretches every dollar without letting the mission slip.

What Does Wizcom Handle for Nonprofits?

The specific IT work that keeps nonprofits delivering programs and stewarding donors.

Donor CRM Support

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT, Salesforce NPSP, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, Neon CRM. Deployment, integration to email and accounting, and the reporting infrastructure development officers actually use.

Microsoft & Google Nonprofit Programs

Eligibility verification, tenant provisioning, and ongoing management of your Microsoft 365 Nonprofit or Google Workspace for Nonprofits subscriptions.

Grant Reporting Infrastructure

File retention, financial system integration, and the technical evidence funders and auditors expect during grant close-outs.

Board & Committee Technology

Board portals (BoardEffect, Diligent, OnBoard), hybrid meeting tech, and secure document distribution for board materials.

Volunteer Access Management

Onboarding and off-boarding at nonprofit volume. Least-privilege provisioning and clean off-boarding when a volunteer moves on.

PII & Donor Data Protection

Encryption, access controls, and retention policies tuned for donor and beneficiary data. Breach response documented before you need it.

Which Compliance Frameworks Apply to Nonprofit?

Nonprofits operate under a stack of state and funder-specific requirements. We build the technical controls each one calls for.

State Charitable Solicitation Registration

Michigan Attorney General Reviews

Your fundraising records have to be reliable and retrievable during Michigan Attorney General reviews. We build the infrastructure to produce them.

IRS Form 990 Record Retention

Federal Nonprofit Reporting

Financial and program data supporting Form 990 filing has specific retention expectations. We build the infrastructure to hold and produce it.

State Privacy Laws

Donor & Beneficiary Data

CCPA, Michigan's new privacy law, and state rules on donor and beneficiary data. Access controls and retention that meet the requirements.

Funder Security Requirements

Foundation & Government Grants

Foundations and government funders increasingly attach security addenda to grants. We help you implement what's required and document what you have.

The Foundation That Rediscovered Twenty Years of Grant Records

A community foundation was preparing for its 30-year anniversary. The archivist wanted to build a donor and grant-history exhibit going back to the founding. When the finance team went to pull the records, they discovered their previous IT vendor had migrated systems three times over fifteen years and lost track of pre-2010 grant data. Two decades of history looked unrecoverable.

We took over. Recovered nine backup archives from three prior vendors' handoff drives, reconciled them against the foundation's paper board minutes, rebuilt a searchable grant history from 1994 forward, and set up a proper archival infrastructure so the next migration doesn't lose anything.

The anniversary exhibit opened on schedule. The foundation now has an authoritative grant history their development team uses for every stewardship conversation.

That foundation is now in their fifth year with us.

Questions Nonprofit Leaders Ask

Can Wizcom help us with Microsoft or Google nonprofit programs?
Yes. Eligibility verification, tenant provisioning, and ongoing subscription management for TechSoup, Microsoft 365 Nonprofit, and Google for Nonprofits.
Which donor CRM platforms does Wizcom support?
Blackbaud (Raiser's Edge NXT, Financial Edge NXT), Salesforce NPSP, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, Neon CRM. Integration work included.
How do you handle volunteer onboarding and offboarding?
Volunteer identity management at nonprofit volume. Provisioning with least-privilege access, and offboarding workflows that actually close out access when someone moves on.
We're preparing for a foundation grant audit. Can Wizcom support the technical portion?
Yes. Access logs, retention evidence, and the technical documentation grant close-outs increasingly require.
What does nonprofit IT cost?
Managed IT for nonprofits typically runs between $65 and $120 per user per month depending on donor data sensitivity, program complexity, and compliance obligations. A 25-staff community foundation usually lands around $2,200 to $3,500 per month all-in after nonprofit software discounts are applied. Every quote is scoped to your program budget realities, not a corporate per-seat menu.
Do you support faith-based organizations differently?
The technology stack is similar to other nonprofits (member CRM, donor management, event platforms) but the calendar cycles are different (weekly services, annual holidays, mission trips). We plan maintenance and capacity around those cycles rather than a corporate work week.
Can Wizcom help us switch donor CRM platforms?
Yes. Migrations from legacy Raiser's Edge to NXT, from spreadsheets to a proper CRM, or between CRM vendors. Data cleanup, mapping, staff training, and cut-over planning are all part of the engagement. We've done these enough to know where the pain points are.
Our board wants better security reporting. What does Wizcom provide?
Quarterly board-facing security reports summarizing patch cadence, backup verification, incident count, and outstanding risks in plain language. Development, finance, and program directors can read them without an IT translator.
