IT for Entertainment

Show-must-go-on IT for venues, production companies, and event operators. When the audience arrives, your systems just work.

The Show Doesn't Wait

IT for entertainment means keeping every ticketed and broadcast moment operational: POS through the concession rush, ticketing under high-concurrency onsale, guest Wi-Fi at capacity, and low-latency broadcast paths that don't stutter mid-keynote. Wizcom builds around specific event calendars first, then adds ongoing office IT around it.

We support venues, event operators, and production companies where an IT failure at showtime is unrecoverable. Your uptime isn't measured in annual percentages, it's measured in individual events, and every one matters to somebody.

Whether you're a regional concert venue, a wedding-and-events property, or a broadcast production company, the underlying job is the same: IT that works when the audience is watching.

What Does Wizcom Handle for Venues and Producers?

The IT work that keeps venues and productions running when audiences arrive.

Event-Critical Uptime

Pre-event health verification, dedicated event-day monitoring, and escalation paths designed for the specific pressures of live events.

Broadcast & Streaming

Low-latency network paths, redundant uplinks, and the specific configuration knowledge needed to support live streaming platforms.

Media Asset Management

Storage architecture, transcoding workflows, and asset organization for productions moving large media files under deadline.

Point-of-Sale Support

Ticketing, concessions, and merchandise POS systems supported as the revenue centers they are.

Guest Wi-Fi at Scale

Wi-Fi that holds up with 500 to 5,000 devices connected. Captive portals, bandwidth management, and the antenna coverage that matches your seating chart.

Venue Security Systems

Cameras, access control, and building systems integrated with the IT stack. One point of contact instead of five vendors.

Which Compliance Frameworks Apply to Entertainment?

Entertainment operators typically deal with payment processing and guest data. We implement the technical controls that keep both safe.

PCI DSS

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard

Required if you process payment cards. Segmentation, encryption, and the SAQ filing done right.

CCPA / State Privacy Laws

Guest Data Handling

Ticketing systems and guest databases hold personal data with legal protections. We build access controls and retention policies to match.

ASCAP / BMI Reporting

Content Licensing Records

Not IT compliance per se, but the systems that hold your reporting data have to be reliable and auditable.

ADA Digital Accessibility

Ticketing and Web Systems

Ticketing platforms need to meet accessibility standards. We help ensure your public-facing systems don't create legal exposure.

The Week That Delivered a Three-Month Plan

A production company was seven days out from a live worldwide stream. This was a keynote event with sitting and former world leaders on the speaker roster, 10,000 concurrent viewers projected, and press coverage lined up. Their previous IT integrator had been engaged for a three-month build: streaming pipeline, event site, security posture, and CDN configuration. Seven days before broadcast, the integrator walked off the project citing scope disputes.

They called us Monday morning. By Friday, the production company had a production-tested Vimeo Live encoder pipeline with redundant uplinks, a Cloudflare-fronted event site with global edge caching so viewers loaded the player from the nearest region regardless of country, DDoS protection turned on, TLS locked to modern ciphers, and the specific security posture the speaker security teams required. Livestream chat, viewer analytics, and captioning were tested end-to-end by Saturday.

Broadcast Sunday morning. Peak concurrent viewers came in above projections, across dozens of countries. Zero downtime. Zero security incidents. No escalations from the speaker-side teams. Cloudflare filtered a targeted attack during the opening keynote and the production team never saw a blip.

That production company put us on retainer for their broadcast calendar the next quarter.

Questions Venues and Producers Ask

Do you have someone on call during our events?
Yes. Event-day support with a direct line to an on-call engineer during showtime. Pre-event health checks four hours before doors, monitoring active throughout, and escalation paths that don't go through a ticket queue.
Can Wizcom support our broadcast and streaming infrastructure?
Low-latency network paths, redundant uplinks, and configuration knowledge for major streaming platforms. We understand the difference between "the internet works" and "the stream is stable."
What POS and ticketing systems does Wizcom support?
Ticketmaster, Etix, Eventbrite, Front Gate, and the range of concession POS platforms. We understand the merchant processing side and the integration to accounting systems.
Our Wi-Fi is unreliable at capacity. Can Wizcom fix it?
Yes. High-density Wi-Fi requires proper antenna design, controller configuration, and bandwidth management. We do the site survey and build a design that holds up when the room fills.
What does venue and production IT cost?
Managed IT for venues and production companies is typically priced with a base retainer plus event-day coverage. A mid-size regional venue with a 40-event annual calendar usually lands around $4,500 to $7,500 per month base plus $600 to $1,200 per major event for on-site and on-call support. Every quote is scoped to your calendar, not a per-seat menu price.
Can Wizcom handle onsale traffic spikes for high-demand shows?
Yes. Onsale planning includes pre-event load testing of your ticketing infrastructure, CDN and DDoS coordination with your ticketing platform, and real-time monitoring during the onsale window. If the platform is Ticketmaster or Etix, we coordinate with their engineering side on the capacity call.
What about PCI DSS for our concessions and box office?
Yes. Network segmentation between POS and guest Wi-Fi, encryption, quarterly vulnerability scans, and the correct SAQ filed on time. We handle both the technical implementation and the paperwork the card processor asks for.
Do you support hybrid and virtual event platforms (Zoom Events, Hopin, Vimeo Livestream)?
Yes. Encoder pipelines, redundant uplinks, captioning workflows, and the platform-specific configuration each service expects. We know what the difference is between a stable production stream and a "we'll figure it out during the show" build.
